Serology

Serology examines blood antibodies resulting from pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. It’s crucial for testing Covid-19 antibodies, offering an indirect method to determine past infection. ALNOOR employs ELISA, GICA, and CLIA techniques for serology tests.

Bacteriology

Bacteriology involves culturing bacteria from various bodily sites like blood, urine, or skin suspected of infection. Culturing occurs in controlled environments suitable for cell growth. Test outcomes rely on suspected bacteria type and the growth period. Specimens include sputum, blood, throat, stool, urine, and wound cultures.

Mycology

Mycology is done to detect fungus. The specie of fungus is also detected using this test which is helpful in suggesting diagnosis of different type of diseases.
